About the Workshop
This three-hour workshop will introduce the principles and practices of Creative Arts Therapy. Drawing on the perspective that artmaking is soul-making, participants will be invited to explore their individual sources of creativity and psychological healing. 
Participants will move into action through a series of evocative prompts–which combine Depth Psychology and a variety of art forms including:
 Drawing – Painting – Storytelling – Music – Writing–
Theatre – Poetry – Movement – Puppetry
and more. . .  
 No previous art-making experience is necessary!

FACILITATOR Bio

Maude Davis, PhD(c), RDT, REAT 

Is a psychoanalyst, Registered Drama Therapist and Registered Expressive Arts Therapist in private practice, affiliated with the Living Arts Counseling Collective.  

Davis’ practice integrates Jungian/Archetypal Psychology with Drama and Expressive Arts therapy. Her therapeutic approach integrates a variety of creative arts methods including drawing and painting, theatre and music, poetry and puppetry. This work encourages the healing influence of spontaneity and the imagination.

 

As a teacher, Davis has presented lecture demonstrations and facilitated experiential workshops at numerous international conferences and events for organizations such as: the North American Drama Therapy Association; the International Association for Jungian Studies; the International Expressive Arts Therapy Association; and the Expressive Therapies Summit. 

 

She empowers clients to channel the spirit of play to bring forth their soul’s unfolding journey.
